Vasque Mantra 2.0
These are my second pair of the Vasque Mantra 2.0 hiking shoes. The previous pair, which is still functional, I wore daily for over four years, including a particularly fluffy winter in central Colorado, and still wear for landscaping work, etc. While YMMV, my experience with these shoes has been that they are incredibly tough, comfortable out of the box, decently water resistant, and highly multi-purpose. The Vibram sole is absolutely bullet-proof, and the soles of my previous pair are as level as the day I bought them--I won't ever wear non-Vibram soled technical shoes again. This style is also a rare example of a high-quality hiking shoe that comes in an Extra-Wide, a positive boon to myself and my fellow larger hikers. I recommend these shoes as an excellent combination of design, build quality, comfort, and price.

Great shoes, Slow Shipping to APO
Just picked these up as a replacement for some Rocky's. They're wide enough in what feels like the right places for my feet. They're also light enough to wear for extended periods of time. It's nice that they have slightly higher sides almost like a hiking shoe, but not as high as some of my previous Merrill's. The coloring is neutral enough to give a very professional look too. Bottom tread isn't "squeaky" and actually grips everything immediately unlike a lot of other newer shoes.
