Low-profile, well-built, almost limitless organization pack.
I've used the Vertx EDC Gamut Plus pack for over a year every day and it has stood up to daily use and having been crammed to the gills. One of the reasons why I bought this over many other packs was it being capable of having a large capacity, good organization features while not having any MOLLE on its exterior.
There are multiple options for storing long guns with side folders, disassembled long guns or pistols. This pack is great for both traveling, work and every day use. The majority of the main interior compartment is velcro lined so you'll be able to attach any small to medium sized ...

Great, large backpack
Settled on the Vertx Gamut Plus after purchasing, and returning, a number of EDC backpacks and slings from other companies. The Plus is, obviously, on the large side, and it can hold a LOT, in a very organized manner. The number of compartments and pockets, and the placement of them, is the best I've ever experienced. The fully loop-lined walls of the inner compartments makes pin-point customized placement of gear and holsters extremely easy. The front panel totally conceals the tactical nature of this bag, but if needed, the panel can be securely tucked away to fully reveal the front MOLLE panel. Begs I've used in the past had limited CCW storage, sometimes not even enough for an extra mag. This CCW area can hold a pistol, a spare mag (with room for another), a TDI knife, and an added MOLLE pouch, with room for more.
Pros:
- Durability
- Organization
- Comforatble
- capacity
- Customizable
- CCW
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- EDC
- CCW

Great all around backpack
I needed a new backpack for every day use. I watched a lot of videos and read a lot of reviews about a number of backpacks, but this one seemed to stand out from the rest. I wanted a bag that offered a lot of tactical like features, but was still covert enough to use for work and didn't stand out like a military style bag. I originally was going to go with the regular size gamut, but went with the plus size because it offered more flexibility for what I needed. This bag is versatile enough to be a work bag, a day hiking bag, and even an overnight travel bag.
I love the amount of pockets and compartments in this bag. I used to carry a backpack or a courier bag depending on the situation, but this bag is able to handle the contents from both bags without a problem. Even with a full load, this bag is still very comfortable to carry. I commute 45 minutes each way to work, sometimes on a motorcycle, and this bag feels relatively light for the size.
The only faults I can find with it are the water bottle pouches on the sides, which will not hold a full-size Nalgene bottle, and the lack of ventilation on the padding that goes against your back. These are both minor issues, And not deal breakers.
I've had this backpack for two weeks now, and I love it. The quality is top notch. I've had a few friends who have checked it out and are considering purchasing one. I would highly recommend this bag, and I am considering buying more Vertx products because of how satisfied I am.

Gamut plus
Finishing quality was great, the quality of stitching was better than Maxpedition or 5.11 bags; as I own many different styles. I've decided to go Gamut Plus to carry as covert travel bag as aformentioned brands scream too much "law enforcement or military". Although Vertx claims Codura fabric is durable, only time will tell....I wish at $200, Vertx should've included few Velcro accessories (IMO).
