Vertex Men’s Phantom Light 2.0 Pants
They run a little tighter than other pants in the waist and thighs but other than that, they are great!! Plenty of low profile pockets. The zipper in the right front pocket also allows you to make sure important items are secure. The flaps on the cargo pockets still keep things in but avoid the Vel...

Watch the size
I ordered and received 3 pair of these earlier this week. I had never purchased Vertx pants previously. Received them yesterday and checked them over. Quality and workmanship were excellent. Really like the low profile cargo pockets. I intended to wear a pair to work today and tried putting them on....

Pants fit better than expected and look sharp. First time order with OpticsPlanet and it was hassle free. Despite a back order on 2 of my 4 pairs of pants, I was informed and updated and they’re already on way. Pleasant experience and will be ordering more items in the future!

Only pants I love
The ripstop runs 1 size small in the waist compared to the originals, but still the best pants you can buy. These are a bit more baggy than the originals, but not too bad. Low profile cargo pockets expand to the inside, keeps pants looking great as long as you own them.

Original Phantom LT pants were awesome, v2’s are phenomenally bad.
I have many pair of, and have been wearing the older version of the Phantom LT pants for a few years and love them; I’ve recommended them to many people who were looking for tac pants. I wore the Vertx original pants prior to that and although the cotton material was not as durable as I would have liked, the fit was awesome.
I am sad to say that the v 2.0 pant is a huge step backward in terms of comfort. I am 5’11” and 165lbs and the new pants are too tight in the upper thighs and part of the seat, binding across the low groin/high thigh area when I move. Overall, it feels like they were designed for someone with a misshapen body. Simply lifting my leg up to put on boots is difficult and when walking any distance, my focus is on the pants which is absurd. Furthermore, there is a seam on each side of the waistband in front are quite thick and stick out at the bottom and dig into the anterior potion of my iliac crest.
It also seems that Vertx used a cheaper fabric, that is more coarse and moves much more poorly than the fabric on the previous pants and is louder than the fabric on the original Phantom LT pants
A notepad in the butt pocket rides just a little lower than the old version, so that I sit directly on it; this was not the case on the older style which was slightly higher. Regarding the new utility pocket, the bar tacking leaves a small open area toward the edge of the pocket. I had a pen get jammed into this space, and it was quite difficult to remove. Also...

Phantom light
Second review of VERTX pants for me. These were the gems of my purchase. Color has held up after multiple washes, pants come out of the dryer flat like they should, no ironing needed! Do be careful however; these pants DO shrink. I lost 1-1.5 inches on these. If I had to do it again, I would order 2-3inches longer than needed to be safe. Even losing what I did, pants are still completely serviceable! Be careful with the cotton legacy pants. I may have gotten a particularly bad pair-but I would probably just get a second pair of these. Good luck, stay safe!
Pros:
- Color holds
- no iron needed
Cons:
- Some shrinking
Best Used for:
- work and home

Not quite ready for sale
Pros: Awesome overall design and look. Cool gray color. Cargo and accessory pockets. Cons: Awkward fit. Despite reducing the bagginess they're still baggy in the seat and crotch, as in unnecessarily baggy (not forgiving). The pants are too tight in the waist and lower torso area. Buying a size too large, the back pockets were too snug to make anything in them readily accessible much less comfortable. The front pockets are equally too constricted so putting anything in them thicker than a card will result in discomfort, bulging, and reduced access. The pants are also very stiff and super hot.

Good pant's but runs small.
I had read in more than you review of these pants that they run a bit small. To be honest I had chalked it up to people to admitting that they had put on a few pounds. However I still ordered a 33" waist even though I wear a 32" in every other brand (5.11s for example). Even with an elastic waist I could barely get the waist closed they were more like a pair of 31" pants than 33".
These pants are however, well constructed and look very low profile. I will just have to go up to a 34" waist and see if that works.

No bite, all comfort
I love my Vertx. I was introduced to Vertx working in the fire service and eventually branched out to wearing them outside of work. I like em. For me, I tend to snag pockets and belt looks on door frames. I don't have to worry about that with the pocket construction of Vertx.

- Fit, Finish & Feel

- None

Vertx Phantom LT 2.0
Using for about week or so. In general - nice pants!
Like: sewing (cut) and quality. Dislike: fabric easily sticks feathers, yarns or similar synthetic particles. Knife pockets are little bit small for my ordinary sized folded knife. IntelliDry treatment doesn't work against even simple stains, only water or snow.
Will see how long they will serve. Hope forever!)
About a shop. Nice price but no any package, I mean at all (only USPS polyethylene)! Strange.
