All of my life I'd been carrying pocket stuff which was equipped with lanyard rings without the lanyard. Since discovering how nice this gizmo is I don't ever want to be without. So now I have three. The clip itself is handsome, well-made, and snaps easily on my heavy 1.5" belt. Its maximum capacity appears to be ~1.75" X .25" thick. The chains are strong enough for their purpose and hefty enough to lie/hang properly in pocket. As a vanity I've had my initials engraved just below the Swiss Army Crest. It's just a proper finishing touch which pays for itself every time I DON'T lose another knife or set of keys.
