oldHeloIP's Review of Victorinox One-Hand Trekker Swiss Army Knives
I've yet to buy a genuine Swiss Army knife that wasn't of excellent quality. All the tools extend rigidly and without play. The knife and saw are VERY sharp. The blade and the large flat screwdriver are each held securely open by liner locks. I found the action of the blade to be too stiff for one-handed opening, but that's of little concern to me. At least the thumbhole is easier to grasp than the thumbnail slot on my (similar) Wenger knife. Likewise, two hands are required to close the blade because the locking spring pushes the wrong way for right handed users. Maybe that's intended to avoid cut fingers. Anyway, it isn't a fighting knife....it's a selection of tools. I only wish that the handle were made of more durable stuff. I know from personal experience that banging on things will break the plastic scales. A hammer it ain't, but an excellent glove box knife it is.
