Great knife for the money!
Typical Victorinox quality. This is a good sized knife. It is not a small typical "swiss army " knife. It has the blades you need and nothing that you don't need. Openers for bottles or cans,Flat blade drivers , a phillips, awl or scraper and the wood saw.....perfect!One handed opening, though a bit slow and stiff, it works and it locks!!! That is a major benefit for a swiss army style knife! This type of knife is perfect to supplement a larger Field knife or Survival type knife meant for Heavy duty/ abusive work. You can not go wrong with this pocket knife.
Great knife!
I'm a fan of Victorinox knives and this one did not disappoint. Its easy one hand open and easy one hand close once you get used to the reversed liner lock. You have to push the lock the opposite direction of what most American liner locks are, but that's realty no big deal. Any competent person should be able to do that safely. The edge was razor sharp out of the box. The saw has perfectly cut teeth. Everything on this knife is Swiss quality as expected. It is now my new hiking knife.

Victorinox Trekker
I've yet to buy a genuine Swiss Army knife that wasn't of excellent quality. All the tools extend rigidly and without play. The knife and saw are VERY sharp. The blade and the large flat screwdriver are each held securely open by liner locks. I found the action of the blade to be too stiff for one-handed opening, but that's of little concern to me. At least the thumbhole is easier to grasp than the thumbnail slot on my (similar) Wenger knife. Likewise, two hands are required to close the blade because the locking spring pushes the wrong way for right handed users. Maybe that's intended to avoid cut fingers. Anyway, it isn't a fighting knife....it's a selection of tools. I only wish that the handle were made of more durable stuff. I know from personal experience that banging on things will break the plastic scales. A hammer it ain't, but an excellent glove box knife it is.

Great Knife
As expected with all Victorinox products, this knife is well made and is the perfect size for out door use. It has the perfect tools for shooters and sportsmen. I really have no need for a small pair of scissors or a cork screw. Would buy another if I ever lost this one.
