SLD's Review of Viktos Upscale Sling Backpack
It isn't a backpack in the normal sense, in that I would NOT LOOK at getting this thing to carry around a bunch of stuff.
But, if you want something to carry all of your EDC essentials, this is probably it. Carrying around your wallet, phone, handgun, knife, TQ, mag, etc. This excels, now I don't 'normally' advocate for off-body or bag-carry. However this is actually a viable option for going places that you may otherwise not be able to carry-concealed at all, or circumstances where you may not be comfortable wearing a gun-belt. Like on those hot/muggy summer days where maybe you just wanna wear gym shorts and a T-shirt... This sling-bag fits that mission perfectly.
The one 'con' is that drawing your pistol from this is slower than typical belt-mounted holsters (duh). Especially if you start from it slung behind you, but it is really easy/fast to slide it around to your front. Also fully ambi to suit whatever your dominant side is. It's nothing unexpected or unworkable though, no different than many waist/chest packs (which I like those options as well).
