I have the 9 and 40 S&W MP SHIELDS. The SHIELDS I bought did not come with the laser night sights.
When I was doing my research I came across the Viridian R 5 night sights. There were no ratings or any comments to go by.
As an Infantry Veteran, I compared all the sights from the most expensive to the lower prices. I decided on the Viridian RED LASER for my 40 and 9 SHIELDS. To my surprise the sight arrived and immediately put it on without the instructions that’s how easy it is. I still read the instructions for anything special and are easy to follow. I just happen to have experience from the military. The laser RED sight is, Great! for daylight and specially in the dark. I went to the range and shot during the day and night. I did not have to make any adjustments. The Red LASER was right on target with great groupings. For the price, easy to install, quick to get on target, and delivery I highly recommend “The Virifdian R 5 RED SIGHT”.
The holster did its job shutting off the light with the ECR. I did file around the top for a faster draw. Overall I highly recommend the Viridian RED Laser SIGHT with the ECR holster. Please be aware that there are ECR holsters out there that are very expensive. Why spend more money when you get a great price for the Viridian LASER package.

The red laser is fine. The holster sucks. Not enough coverage. My gun digs into my side. I looked for other holsters on the Viridian site, but they are poorly described with only one picture. Buy with caution.

Love the laser, and the ecr feature is nice, the holster itself is only ok in my mind, I have other holsters that work better and still have the ECR feature, but the included holster is a good first holster for someone newer to carrying a pistol.

Works great instant on every time when drawn out of the holster.great product,the laser is brightness in the day light is good, awesome at night .the only thing that would make this better is a concealed holster that would give you the instant on laser when drawn.
