Great light, good brightness, very compact
I haven't seen many reviews on the RTL lights for the Shield, so I bought it and decided to try it out. It's very compact and lightweight, and it's also pretty bright. The light pattern is wide so it covers the area in front of you pretty well. As for distance, anything from 5-15 yards is illumin...

Sub par for sub compacts
The build quality of this light seems decent but I was very underwhelmed by the lights output. I felt like the lumens were over stated and closer to 35 lumens due to being a flood light. I felt like the light struggled to functionally illuminate past 5 yards. I also didn't care for the instant on fe...

Best tac light period
Fits like a glove light is bright and definitely a must have if you plain on home Defense. Or even every day carry the holster is perfect and conceals very well. I used a code to purchase this product it took the price down under 90 bucks and free shipping.most other places charge 150 bucks plus shipping which is a waste this isn't a stream light but it will get the job done if you have to use it.
Pros:
- Great product
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- home defence

Fits like a glove
I really like this tactical light. It's bright enough to light up the dark so that you can see. The power button has three modes; constant on, strobe and of course off. Whichever mode you choose will be the one that automatically is used when you remove it from the holster. For example, if you put the strobe feature on and holster the gun it will turn off automatically. Drawing the gun from the holster will automatically turn on the strobe feature. If you don't want the light to turn on automatically all you have to do it turn it off and then holster the gun. The power/mode button is a little hard to use. It's in the right place (where your thumb would be for right hand shooters) but takes a squeeze from my thumb and pointer finger. Overall a great light that looks like it was made with the gun. I purchased an IWB Crossbreed holster with the Ulticlip3 that has the special feature which allows for the auto on/off when you draw and holster the gun.
Pros:
- Looks great, bright enough for night use
Cons:
- Power/mode button difficult to use without a two finger pinch
Best Used for:
- Nighttime carry

Minimally Viable
Button is difficult to activate. Almost no throw to the light at all. Build quality is cheap. This thing is now stuck on my Shield because the screws stripped almost instantly. With the TLR6 available, there's really no reason to waste your money on this.
Pros:
- Light for the shield
Cons:
- Screws can be stripped easily
- Cheap build
- Weak light
Would recommend: No
Mr. Tex Byrd
Please disregard my previous review of this afternoon. I apologize because I did not review the product carefully enough prior to making my comments. The laser light and "instant on" holster are exactly as I ordered and there is no difficulty whatsoever. I am impressed with the quality, Thank you. E. Byrd

Reactor TL Tactical Light for Smith & Wesson M&P Shield
If you are like me you are thinking this is a great deal for a tactical light with a green laser. I even had my read the description and she also thought it was a green laser with tactical light much to my surprise when it when it arrived arrived it was just a tactical light which to be fair does fit my Smith & Wesson M&P Shield like a glove it works great the light is bright all functions work as they should comes with a decent holster which activates the light if you so choose. I tried to contact Optics Planet by email and never got a reply. Bottom line it is a very good Tactical light with the holster. But no laser.

Cons:
- NO LASER

Nice Light
It is what it is, a tac light for a sub compact pistol. Great to light close combat situation. Like the auto on but they should ad button you can depress that will off the light while held down so you can change positions with your light off. Don't expect to light the soccer field for a night game with it.
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- Not easy to turn off if needed
