Bodyguard 2.0 Optic - Simple but effective
The Viridian RFX-1 Optic for S&W Bodyguard 2.0 is fantastic. I mounted on a Comp - Carry version of the Bodyguard 2.0. The existing sight is vert difficult to remove from the bodyguard without a sight pusher, so purchase a sight pusher or take to a gunsmith to remove or you will wish you had. Once the old sight is removed installation is very simple and quick. Make sure you have a torque wrench so you do not over-torque the two mounting screws. I added blue loctite as well. Installation takes only a couple of minutes. Zeroing the new sight was easy, it was dead on L/R, but required a bit of tweaking for vertical. The sight is no frills/no adjustment once zeroed.....there are no user controls. However, I am happy with the auto brightness setting of the 3 MOA green dot....works for me in low light and sunlight. I like the "shake to awake" ability of the optic to save battery life....it turns back on as soon as I touch the pistol. The sight serrations match the standard bodyguard 2.0 pistol, but do not align with the Comp - Carry version....not a big deal, just be aware. The sight is compact but works great. Now for the good part....I shoot a LOT more accurately with the optic.....my groups at 20 feet are less than an inch and a half, a significant improvement from the iron sights. I carry IWB, and the optic does not add any noticeable bulk or printing. Bottom line is that I am happy with the purchase and would buy it again, I feel the increased accuracy is worth t...

Great sight...great price...GREEN is better than RED!
I was skeptical at first about this sight but once mounted it works amazing well and the GREEN dot is much easier to pick up than the red dot in most sights! The only issue is removing the rear sight on the S&W BG 2.0! It is a bear and I bent four brass punches getting it off!
But after about 30 minutes it finally loosened up and I removed it without further incident! Luckily the RFX-1 mounts easily and matches the serrations on the slide perfectly. The finished installation looks great and looks like a factory installation!

works as advertised
This is the perfect dot for the BodyGuard 2.0. Fits seamlessly like it was made by S&W size is perfect and the green color is a plus, especially because the sight window is small as expected.

Great optic
I put this on my bodyguard 2.0. Getting the rear sight off can be a hassle, but look on youtube. There are plenty of videos on how to remove it properly. Once the rear sight was off, this optic went on without a problem. It looks great, as if it was from the factory. The optic brightness and clarity and just right! I highly recommend.

Really nice sight and fits perfectly!
The Viridian sight is really well done and aligns so well with the Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp! Getting the rear sight off the BG 2.0 is a nightmare, but the installation of the new Green dot is easy-peasy and the green dot is SO much easier to pick up when shooting!
The packaging, the included tools, and the ease of sighting in make this sight HIGHLY recommended!

Perfect fit.
Great optic, perfect fit, holds zero. A bit dim in the darkest of scenarios but thats not what its used for. Not much more to say. You wont regret it.

Best upgrade for Bodyguard 2.0
This is the perfect addition to the Bodyguard, its seamless and looks great! Functionally speaking it does what it’s designed to do. My only complaint with this unit is the inability to adjust the brightness of it.

Serious Trade-Offs and Malfunctions.
I am hesitant to give products 1-star reviews because most of them have things they do well. In this case, the product has too many trade-offs combined with poor performance and bad quality.
Trade-offs: Battery below the optic (requires removing the optic to change the battery). Automatic brightness adjustment (no manual buttons).
Those would all be fine if the optic performed. You trade those features for a smaller profile.
Performance issues: In low light, the dot is too dim to see it. It's EXTREMELY dim. If you're in a dark room/hallway and looking into a lit area, you will not be able to find the dot. You'll end up using the optic sides to "frame" the target.
Malfunctions: At the range, the default dot setting was crazy high in the window. This required me to dial the elevation adjustment to the end of its range in order to get it on target. The problem is that it didn't stay there. I had the same problem with windage. No matter how I adjusted it, the adjustments WOULD NOT group in the same spot. Just to make sure I wasn't crazy, I brought out my EDC and competition gun. Both Holosuns were on target and grouped fine.
You're giving up a lot in order to get the smaller form factor, but if it can't hold zero, none of that matters. Time to try the Gideon Pebble.
