Most Helpful Positive Review Great optic compared to others with the Doctor footprint
I bought this because it was one of the only optics that fits the useless plate that the Springfield Prodigy ships with. That said, the optic is holds zero with no problem. It's probably not the strongest optic, I will not be doing any drop tests or even carrying it but, if you're looking for a solid rot for a range gun or perhaps an offset on a low buget rifle build, this could be for you. The "shake awake" feature is not instant, it actually takes about 2-3 seconds. You can see this for yourself just by not touching the gun for two minutes so it auto shuts off. Now look through the glass mov...

Disappointed

by Blackcloud, Verified Owner from MN, United States Written on June 19, 2026
My fault for not researching before buying, sight must be removed to change battery, completely unacceptable, and the parallax in my opinion makes this sight inaccurate at best. It is there no matter the distance. It however does have a low base height so co-witness is easy to obtain. I have already removed and replaced this sight with another brand.
Pros:
  • Fairly large windows, low base height
Cons:
  • Must remove to change battery
  • Must remove sight to

Great optic

by Corey, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on April 15, 2025
With my old eyes, green dots are easier to see. This dot is clear, wakes up very quickly and returns to the last brightness setting. The base is a slightly smaller footprint than my slide. It took a little time to mount the dot centered on the slide. I've put a few hundred rounds through it and so far so good. Will considered this dot for another platform.
Pros:
  • Shake awake and brightness return
Cons:
  • Smaller footprint
Best Used for:
  • Custom glock 17

Not a fan, wont hold zero

by Shmluh, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on March 13, 2025
Each range trip I have to re-zero it. I had it on my PSA Dagger, but since it refuses to do what it's supposed to, I took it off. Should have just spent the money on a higher quality red dot.

Great price for its built.

by Kris, from IL, United States Written on March 11, 2025
For the price, you can't beat the RFX 25. It performs well and it is some of the higher-end sights I've used. The green dot is crisp and bright, and the overall build quality is fantastic.

by JR, from AL, United States Written on November 13, 2024
Easy to mount, easy to clean, easy to adjust and easy to use. I am so happy with my RFX25, Viridian spent some time on this because it is very well built.

Very Reliable

by Artemas, from OR, United States Written on July 24, 2024
I took this sight on a weekend shooting trip, and it held up great. It's feels unbreakable and handled the rough conditions without any issues. The green dot stayed consistent throughout, which gave me confidence in its reliability.
