First shots, glass cracked! - Viridian Weapon Technologies RFX45 Pro Green Dot Sight

Out of the box. This product looks great & feels very durable but sadly, that is not the case. I had it mounted for at least 2 weeks on my Echelon C just doing Dry Fire. Everything was looking good so far. Had it mounted with their “recommended” torque values & it was great. The screws stayed as they are, confirmed with the witness marks I made.
The first range trip was a different story however. Sighting in the sights, first box of 9mm 50 rounds, 37 rounds in, finally had it Zeroed & confirmed, ready to have fun with it, that when I realized that a big crack on the rear glass appeared (across from the right middle side to the bottom middle)! This is the first time I’ve ever had something like this happened. Never had this happened with 2 of my EPS Carry even now with both of them having over 1k rounds each. Also, have the Olight Osight (1st version) & that too, out of the box, never had a problem.
And so, really disappointing. Never saw this happening with all the Reviews I watched about the Product on YouTube with all the “Torture Testing” they all did. I wanna stay Optimistic. This could very well be that I just got lucky with mine. I guess I will just have to see after I get it back. Good news is, their Customer Service seems good. You get to talk to a real person as soon as you call them. Turn around was between 1-3 weeks. I sent it out 2/12 & got the email from them saying it’s on its way back. I should have the “Dot” back in a few days.
