Fits but needs alittle trimming
You will need to trim the front hand guard cap for it to fit and it fit have the bayonet lug you will need to trim the hand guard nothing a little dermal will fix

Doesn't fit properly.
The item says it fits on carbine length rifles, however the inner rails on the top piece are too long to fit on my Colt CR6920. The bottom portion fits just fine so I can only assume that poor manufacturing is the issue and it was either milled improperly or doesn't fit properly on my rifle as it se...

obviously its for appearance
Seen a lot of bad reviews for this but I took a gamble as it completed the look I was trying to achieve. Ended up having to cut about 4.5 inches off of it for my specific application, but it turned out amazing!

Be Prepared
Overall the handguard looks nice and is what I expected. The flaw I've found in it is that one would need to be prepared for "stocking up" in the old bolt action terms to get it to fit right on the rifle. The inner rails of the handguard on mine required a bit of filing for them to work with a low profile gas block and cap. So with that it is recommended to have some metal files or a small dremel ready with some alumi-black or a sharpie.

With a Little Filing...
Was having problems finding a nice handguard for my Ruger AR556 build. Decided to take a chance on this Vism BlastAR handguard in the 14 inch length, after Tech Support with OpticsPlanet told me that this one would fit. The FAB Defense extended length Quad Rail handguard would not fit my rifle due to its bayonet mount under the front sight. I was really disappointed when this VISM BlastAR handguard came in, as it did not just "drop in". After closely inspecting where the tolerances were off, I discovered that the main problem was with the upper half of the guard clearing the end cap near the front sight. I was able to slightly remove a small piece of my rifle end cap to barely get the VISM BlastAR to fit. Since I was able to get this item to fit, I gave it 3 stars. Now that it is mounted, it works great and looks equally good.

Will NOT just "drop" in
Um extremely disappointed at the moment I've been trying the last 2 hours to get these handguards in my AR and they just won't fit. I've been waiting on these after my original order wouldn't be shipped until December they up graded me to these I paid 30.00 more and finally get them and after 2 hours of trying I give up. I'm beyond frustrated
