Most Helpful Positive Review great value and quality
Outstanding product, it deliver you a sight, a good quality scope with magnification, and potential tactical application. In addition, it offer you a quick release, all as part of a very cost effective package.
Most Helpful Negative Review Unfortunate
I had high hopes for this optic. I read reviews, and against better judment, I decided to give this optic a chance due to its majority of good reviews and price point. Upon opening the box, I found the optic was well packaged and felt to be made of quality parts (heavy and good finish). I installed ...

Top-tier optic in the budget-minded category!

by Benny, from CA, United States Written on June 24, 2022
PRO's: Cast out of one solid piece of aluminum. This optic has a solid mounting system - Quick Detach (I've read others experienced rattle, but not the case here). Elevation and windage adjustments hold zero like they should (my experience is with 5.56/.223) and bore sighting it to my AR was a breeze. Zero has held spot on after 750+ rounds. Comes with back-up iron peep sight (fiber optic at that and have three positions you can move them to). The top of the housing has an RMR footprint for a RDS (I have a Vortex Venom on mine and love it).
Glass/lenses aren't bad for an optic in this price range (obviously not on par with Trijicon, EOtech, etc), but it's also 3-5x's cheaper. Nav light and green laser are a nice touch, even if just finnicky. Battery life is better than expected.

CON's: There's some blue LED wash going on at the higher settings. Nav light lacks brightness.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • wash
Best Used for:
  • training/range use
Would recommend: Yes

Bad ,hopefully a mistake

by Jimmy Lawrence, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on April 15, 2018
I received the scope. Packaging was great then I opened it. It honestly Looked like a used or returned item. There was a screw missing the inside of the scope glass look like it had pair or something on it . Called and no more were in stock. Returned with a full refund . Definitely disappointed. Had plenty of ncstar stiff with no issues. In opticplanets defense it was drop shipped from a vendor so who know.
Pros:
  • None
  • na
Cons:
  • Looked used ,parts missing.
Best Used for:
  • hunter, shooter, scope protection

You get a little more than what you pay for.

I was pretty surprised by this scope. I've put close too two thousand rounds through this scope now on my first ar and it has held up much better than I thought it would. Zeros hold nice and true and once the mount is tightened to where it needs to be the sight picture is constant. That being said however the shell feels less than great. Ive gotten bits of carbon up under the lense that can't be cleaned which could lead to me having to send my scope off sometime in the future. If I had one complaint at all it would be the fact that the retical takes up too little space in the scope. Some more moa graduation would be a welcome change to the "urban tactical" retical.
Pros:
  • Good vaule, solid feeling
Cons:
  • Not air tight
  • Not air tight, small retical
Best Used for:
  • SHTF, target practice

Nice Concept, Bad Product

by Dave, from MI, United States Written on July 21, 2017
First I want to say that Optics Planet was great to work with on accepting my return of this product. They were very friendly and professional. Now to my product review. I was looking for an optic that would combine some features like an integrated laser and reflex sight. Initially I had high hopes when I received this optic however things didn't go so well. To get right to it, this optic will NOT hold zero. The laser will shut off after one or two rounds are fired. The quick release does not stay secured and even when it does the optic will still not hold zero at any distance. In fact it was almost impossible to find zero. I have never experienced anything like this in my many many years of shooting literally millions of rounds. For the record I am a very experienced marksman and I also had two other highly qualified experienced marksmen try to work with this optic and they also could not get it zeroed. Not only is it off target this optic is WAY off target. Bottom line, I can't recommend and would advise not to purchase. The manufacturer needs to do a lot more development to get this thing right.
