Good mat bag, but I did modify it.
This is a good mat bag. But I wanted something to load the bipod against. So I had an alterations woman sew a piece of webbing across the top of the middle panel. It works well.
My only complaint is that the bag pack straps are under the middle panel where you lay. So the one panel that should be flat isn't. But that is really not a big deal to me. I just think they should be on the other side.

Well sorted out design
Durable, does what I bought it to do with an M1-A.
Plenty of places to store your possibles. In fact maybe too much many, as you can stuff a tonna things inside, then strap on molle bags and end up with a 30# pack to schlep out to the field with if you're not careful. At least the back pack straps are up to that kind of load should you need them.

Great product
I'm a little surprised with the quality of this bag for the money. It's not often that you get a really outstanding product these days and you don't get racked over the coals. I bought this bag for my RPR 6.5mm creedmoor project and I must say I am very very pleased with this bag.

Nice dual purpose case
While I have not had a chance to tkae this case into the field I am sure it will work well. Large enough for my Ruger Precision Rifle with lots of pockets. I am not sure how it will work as a shooting mat as I am guessing one will have to remove all items from the pockets so as not to be laying on them. We will see. I think the construction is sturdy but again I have not had a chance to use the case yet. All in all I feel this is a good buy. My plan is to use this to take rifle to the range and maybe use it as a shooting mat. I have a dedicated shooting mat so I am not to concerned about that part of the case.
