Most Helpful Positive Review Padding is really good
Plenty of padding I like how small it rolls up to . It's very convenient to get around with. When unrolled you have plenty of room. I was very happy with the price very inexpensive compared to some other matts that are out their. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes to shoot from the prone position

Must have for shooting prone

by Jeremiah Garcia, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on July 5, 2025
The VISM shooting may is worth getting if you shoot prone. It’s quick to deploy and roll up and just enough padding to to not be uncomfortable on rocky ground and it’s easy to clean.
Pros:
  • padded
  • Quick to deploy
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Prone
  • field training

Definitely made in china, but it’s good quality and does what it needs to! Couldn’t pass up the price
Pros:
  • Price
Cons:
  • made by China, our greatest threat.
Best Used for:
  • Long range shooters

Great mat! Highly recommend.

I'm very happy with this mat. The padding makes it very comfortable. I laid it in some muck and it stayed dry on top. Its stiff enough so you don't need to worry about it bunching up on you, but it's soft enough to easily roll up.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • not the longest mat

So Far, The Best Shoot Mat.

by Chris, Verified Owner from NV, United States Written on December 8, 2024
Nice thick padding is perfect for the rocky areas. I didn’t expect it to last as long as it has but it’s still going strong. Way better than the nylon sheets being sold as shooting mats.
Pros:
  • light weight
  • Nice size
  • thick padding
  • Straps keep it rolled up
Cons:
  • None

Easy to use and fold/roll back up. Enough padding to be comfortable to lay on but not to much to make it difficult to roll up.
Pros:
  • Easy storage
Cons:
  • None

roll up shooting mat

by dingdong, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on November 24, 2023
It was cheap.... and I didn't know what to expect. and I got it and it was good size. that was important. and it had padding...that was important. they said in the description you could use the carrying strap to place you bipod for a secure placement of the rifle . THAT ACTUALLY WORKED! freaking awesome! so yeah.... I love it! got some rad groupings with it the other day! it's crazy simple design just works! .....and you could sleep on it if you wanted to. bonus!!!

Best bang for buck.

by Bill, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on May 4, 2021
What can I say? It's a shooting mat, you lay on it to shoot at things. It's the right size, and the padding is nice for laying on rough ground. The shoulder strap is also great for bracing a bipod against.

Unless you're one of those "tacticool" guys that plays dress up and shows up to the range with shiny, expensive, emblematic gear; This mat will do the exact same job as those that cost more than $100
Pros:
  • Good Material, Comfy, Inexpensive
Cons:
  • None

Great starter mat for CMP and vintage shoots

by Caffeine65, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on September 8, 2020
Besides letting this air out for the shipping odor, this mat has been a great asset for my CMP and vintage rifle shoots. It’s a mat, so I saw no need to spend twice as much for another one. I have also set it out at barriers for prone at Run&Gun shoots. In those cases it was used by numerous shooters at that stage. No issues with it after 25 shooters and a couple of long days. I would recommend it for a good starter shooting mat
Pros:
  • Economical, rugged
Cons:
  • Initial odor
Best Used for:
  • prone shooting

Great shooting mat

by Nick, from IN, United States Written on September 14, 2019
Been needing a shooting mat for a long time when I saw this one on Optics Planet. The price was great and description on the website sounded like what I wanted. On opening the package I found the mat to be strong and built well. Nothing fancy but that’s not what I was looking for. Great product at a great price.
