I should have known better
I should have known better that a zoom binoculars where going to be inferior to a fixed power bino's but had to give one a try to see for myself considering there is not one review out there of this giant.
The CA was average but still annoying
The 16 power at the low end had to be focused different then at the high end of 40x
The deterioration at higher power was grainy but to be expected
The Diopter Adjustment is opposite, being on the left eye cup with the center wheel
Inter-pupilary range had to be completely drawn in to just make the image one, if you have a narrower set of eyes your out of luck
The fixed models have a nicer look with the brushed chrome, with the 16x40 being plane
For casual use on a tripod you might like these with the convenience of a zoom but if your looking for a giant for astronomy use look elsewhere and stay with a fixed model.
