Purchased this for a carbine length gas system in 7.62x39 A5 setup. Vltor makes quality products, and this is no exception. For me, the A5 system provides the flexibility of the carbine buffer system while also providing the shooting characteristics and reliability of the A2/Rifle buffer system. The primary drawback is the price of admission. 1 star subtracted for cost. For what they are, all buffers are overpriced.
