This was misleading as a "Demo". One screw is missing and threads are abused. The second screw is sheared in place having been installed from the wrong side. These clamp on gas blocks have threads on one side/half of the clamping area. The other side is thread less but has a recess for the head of the screw(s). I sure am disappointed in Optics Planet.com

I had it on my upper and it was fine until I had to change handguards and tried to get it off. One of the bolts stripped and it was a nightmare trying to knock it loose. I ended up having to hammer it off and its no good anymore. I did not use loctite. Sucks that its useless now while being so expensive.

You get what you pay for and with the vltor clamp on low profile gas block you get a quality, light, strong gas block this is my third gas block from vltor and they are consistent in there product. The fit and finish is exactly what you would expect from vltor.

I'm running the gas block on 4 AR's at the moment. Just an overall great gas block. The only thing that I wish it was is cheaper. The best part about it is the fact that you can remove it easily without having to take set screws out that strip.

easy install. Roll pin installation is the most difficult part. Clamp on with 2 screws. Perfect fit as described on my DD .750 barrell. Hasnt budged and initial torque to clamp scews remained unchanged after 200 rounds.

Highly recommend the clamp on version of this gas block. Much more secure than set screw. I used a nice coiled roll pin for the tube and it went together effortlessly. The fit on the barrel was very snug and there is no leaks. The gas port was perfectly spaced and nice sized. Fit and finish is excellent. Quit playin and just buy the vltor. Youll be happy i guarantee it.
Pros:
- Perfectly machined and finished

Perfect ejection direction in my 308 build. Install was easy as heck, remember to use loctite!!!! Vltor makes an excellent product and this is no different!omly wish is that it was adjustable. It’s knife not worrying about having to dimple the barrel.

I was looking for a clamp on style gas block at a decent price. Vltor is top quality. Mounted on an Anderson 7.62x39 barrel. Fit is very night and tight tolerance which means it's not going to budge. Would definitely buy another one.
