WeeHooker's Review of Volquartsen Firearms Ruger MK Accurizing Kit
I installed two of these kits on two different MK IV's. Unlike results achieved with Volquartsen products in my earlier MK II and III installs, both kits only got me to about 3# 10-12 oz (measured) and both triggers still have notable creep. It used to be that a $30 Volquartsen sear would get me to 2.5# ( or better). Now a whole $130 kit doesn't even come close. The trigger is moderately improved but the $130 would have been better spent with a gun smith.
Pros:
- Parts Drop in as they should
- Volquartsen customer service was friendly
Cons:
- Whole kit needed vs just a sear
- Not a significant improvement over stock
- High Price for small results
Best Used for:
- Plinking /non-competitive shooting
