Tune up kit was supposed to come with automatic bolt release and it did not. It was supposed to be an optics planet exclusive. I reported it to sales/on line help and no one would help

I'm really disappointed that this doesn't come with the bolt release like the picture shows. I could have bought this kit plus the bolt release for the same price other places.

Easy install, fit is nice on both the firing pin and also the extractor. I haven’t fired enough rounds at this point to give a reliability rating. Pleased so far.

Works great. Nice deep imprint on the rim, just a tiny bit longer than the original firing pin. Hopefully it'll last longer than the ruger ones.

this is a well-made product that is a high-quality addition to a Ruger 10/22 (I have the takedown0. It does not come with instructions but those are easy enough to find on YouTube. Price is fair and the shipping from OP was reasonably fast.

All the new parts fit nicely into the spaces from the old parts ... the gun works fine, have only put a few rounds thru it, looking forward to more extensive testing with a variety of ammo and see if it cures some of the FTF and ejection issues I've had with some of the bulk pack ammo ... you wonder why Ruger couldn't do this from the factory, I doubt it would cost them much if anything ...

This Volquartsen firing pin and ejector are both excellent upgrades to the Ruger 10/22. I install these on all my 10/22’s. They don’t cost much and improve reliability greatly! This part will fit the standard 10/22, the 10/22 takedown and the 10/22 Charger pistol.
Pros:
- Great upgrade for little money

I recently bought a new 10/22 and after watching a ton of YouTube videos and messing around with it before I shot it, I decided that certain things had to be replaced, namely the bolt release and the magazine release. To me, those are no-brainer mods. I saw a lot of people recommending upgrading the edge extractor and the firing pin. I wasn't sure it was necessary (and probably never will), but I figured since I was dissecting the gun, I might as well replace those parts, too. It's not the easiest process; the edge extractor is particularly tricky. Does the gun work better now? I don't know. I do know that the parts I removed were not machined not nearly as nicely as the Volquartsen parts.
Cons:
- potentially difficult install
