Not terrible, consider other options - Volquartsen Firearms Extended Bolt Handle and Recoil Rod Assembly for Ruger 10/22

I bought this charging handle/rod assembly after having read lots of good reviews on Volquartsen quality. I will say, the charging handle itself looks good and fits the 10/22 black finish very nicely but that's about all I like on it. For an "extended" charging handle, this one is barely 1-2mm longer than the factory one, just thicker in size. I wanted something that would clear my scope a bit better and this is barely better than the factory one. When installing I noticed the handle itself didnt want to retract on the rod at all. Turns out the detents they put on the end of the rod were catching the inside of the handle and biding up. I had to lube the rod and force it free to even install it behind the bolt and get it in. Once in the rifle I noticed the action was very sticky so I lubed the rod/bolt assembly and worked it a bunch of times, but even with snatching the handle back like you should, it would still follow slowly sometimes. I have yet to put any rounds through the rifle with this installed, hopefully it wont cause feeding/extraction issues. After I take it to the range I'll see if the function improves at all and adjust my reviews. Biggest issue is obviously the sticky action, but the fact that this extended handle is barely longer than the factory and hardly clears my scope is rather annoying, especially for the higher price than other less reputable manufacturers are charging.
