Great Barrel
This is a great upgrade to my 10/22. It fits perfect and the accuracy is spot on. Having the pic rail attached to the barrel really helps ease anxiety of the possibility of losing zero on my optic. This was a no brainer for me and looking forward to hunting with it.
Great barrel – great price!
I bought this Volquartsen barrel to replace the On1 on my Ruger 10/22 takeaway rifle. Replacement was easy. The attached Picatinny rail allows me to move my optic a bit further, which is nice. Volquartsen quality is legendary, and I look forward to taking it to the range next week.

Volquartsen Carbon Fiber 10/22 Takedown barrel w/ rail
Haven't shot it yet, but it's installed in the magpul X-22 backpacker. It was easy to install and works great with the setup. My only concern so far, is that the rail sits up pretty high. I understand it's probably necessary for clearance but even with the extra cheek riser, there's not much cheek weld. Optic sits kind of high. But, it is a .22 so recoil management is a non issue.

Great Lightweight Barrel
Everything Volquartsen touches is great, love the look and weight of this barrel. 22lr ammo negates most of the negatives carbon fiber barrels typically have (especially with large riffle rounds)

10/22 upgrade
I purchased this barrel for my Takedown Hunter X-22 magpul chassis and it fits perfectly and made my 10/22 much more accurate! I highly recommend it!

The perfect barrel for this gun!
Excellent addition to your 10/22 takedown! The weight reduction is definitely noticeable & offsets a suppressor perfectly! Will eat any ammo I feed it but the best thing is that the scope is attached to the barrel & not the receiver. The scope stays 100% true when disassembled.

It was well worth it
Not only did it cut the weight it also made it that much more accurate. I honestly wish I would of done it sooner. I also paired the barrel with volquartsen bolt and volquartsen trigger.

Great lightweight barrel… but
I really like this barrel but a small amount of gun smithing may be required to install this. I installed this in a Grey Birch chassis for a portable and light squirrel gun (I am using it in steel challenge as well). The issue is that Volquartsen uses pan head screws to attach the barrel lever assembly to the barrel. The screw heads are larger than the OEM screws and the plunger is a larger diameter. You may have to sand down and polish the plunger and file down the screw heads or order a takedown barrel lever assembly kit not from Volquartsen. It is easier to order the barrel lever kit but with some effort you can modify the parts that come with the barrel if needed.

I would give it 6 stars if I could.
I wanted to make a decked out 10/22 and I also wanted the capabilities to break down and maybe put into a bag, but it needed to be accurate. This barrel shot a 1/4 inch group at 50 yards with good sub ammo. On top of that, I screwed up the order and optics planet completely took care of me even though it was my mistake. That is the customer service I will keep coming back to and why I have been buying from OP for over a decade. Awesome product! Awesome distributor!
