This is an amazing upgrade for any Ruger 10/22 Takedown. Installs just as easily as the stock barrel (after you remove the rail on the reciever) and your optics stay with the barrel afterward so one less thing to worry about. The finish on the forend was not consistent, so cosmetically there is room for improvement, but functionally, it's spot on.
Volquarsen 10/22 barrel
Great quality. Light weight. Shoots much better than the original Ruger takedown barrel.

Valquartsen Lightweight Barrel for 10/22 TD
Great price, quick delivery. Just what I was looking for in a lightweight drop-in target barrel with fore end. Looks and feels great. Hopefully it will shoot as well as other Valquartsen barrels I've shot. There is a blemish on the side of the fore end. Part of the fore end was not blackened during the anodizing.
Pros:
- Lightweight, good looking, ready for use.
Cons:
- Slightly blemished fore end.
Best Used for:
- Target and small game hunting.

Nice addition for my 10/22 TD.
I bought this for my new 10/22 Takedown. The factory barrel was okay, but this is better, especially in that the scope can be mounted on the barrel, and not the receiver. Initially, it had the extraction issues, but I took a flat file the slightly deepened the portion near the breech to increase the extractor's purchase (I have a Tony Kidd bolt in it) on the case's rim and that solved the extraction issue. Now, it is running flawlessly. I'm have no problem shooting CCI Suppressor .22 LR 45 gr ammo through it.
