Best Take Down Barrel Out
I believe this to be the best takedown barrel out on the market. This barrel is extremely lightweight , has a great finish , is accurate and holds its zero with the fixed picatinny rail. I originally bought it for my son as an upgrade to his takedown , but I think it's staying in my collection.

Light with some fitment issues.
First off, the barrel shoots fine and is very light compared to the other barrels on the market with a similar diamter. The fit and finish is excellent. so far so good
Wanted a threaded barrel option with a cantelever mount. Have been happy with this brand before so i decided this barrel fit the bill. The cantilever mount fixed two issues i was having. Rezeroing the scope that was reciever mounted after reassembly of the takedown 1022 and more eye relief as the new mount location was almost 2in forward. Shoots good groups with cheap ammo. Still need to find out what it likes best as i break it in. Purchased then notified of backorder but updates were accurate for actual ship date.

Volquartsen Lightweight T\D Barrel
The accuracy increase with the Volquartsen Lightweight Barrel is significant, I got a dramatic improvement over the stock Ruger barrel. I M achieved group sizes of 0.5 inches or less at 50 yards when using high-quality match-grade ammunition. This worked perfectly with my TacSol X-Ring receiver!

Light, Precise, and Holds Zero
Well-crafted upgrade. Machining is flawless and the fit to the takedown receiver was perfect. The barrel-mounted rail is a smart design—it keeps the optic aligned and has held zero through repeated takedown/reassembly. The weight savings are obvious without feeling whippy, and the rifle balances better. With decent ammo, my 5-shot groups are right around 1 MOA. Installation was a breeze. You get what you pay for. Recommended.

Tack driver!
Volquartsen really hit it out of the park on this one! Barrel is ridged and accurate and easily removed and remounted to the receiver. I love that the scope mount is now part of the barrel and not the receiver. Well thought out design and quality manufacturing make this a wonderful addition to any 10/22

Takedown barrel
This replacement barrel is a perfect option for the Ruger 10/23 takedown. The rail that extends back over the receiver works great for the setup I'm using.

Impressive fit finish and performance. Caveat's in my review when combining with certain receivers
I bought this barrel and combined it with a Brownells 10/22 takedown receiver. The one with the railed upper portion. I want to mention the rail portion will not fit with that particular receiver as it extends back beyond and it contacts the built in picattiny portion on it. Fortunately this barrel has a removeable picattiny section at the top. Easy to remove with two screws at the top and I put it away in case. The barrel finish is excellent. It looks awesome combined with my brownells receiver and magpul backpacker stock. It's a 4 lb rifle when combined with that stock and the aluminum receiver. I attached 1. an inforce WML to the side of the stock, a 2 moa red dot, and with 3 fully loaded 10 round mags hidden in the stock the rifle only weights 5 lbs. A bit over 4 lbs dry.

Awesome Barrel
This barrel looks like it was made by a Swiss watch maker. Looking forward to using it. Can't go wrong with Volquartsen! Packaging was great and shipping was fast. Will continue to buy from Optics Planet.
