This seems to be a nice case, but there are some differences in the actual size. Mine came with someone's name tape stuck to the front pocket and seemed to have likely been returned by that person since the pocket with the name tape stuck on it was smashed very flat. But when I opened it up and spread the pocket out it seemed to be the only part that is the correct dimension from what was described in the items description. The overall length of the case is not 37". It measures more like 36 1/2". So my rifle barely fits in it when I figured it would fit snugly. Also it says the width of the case is 12" and its only 10" wide (maybe 12" to the top of the handles, but the case itself isn't that wide). Also it lists the case at 5 1/2" deep but it's almost 3" thick. It might be 5 1/2" if you included the depth of the front pocket filled to the brim in that measurement, but the case itself isn't that deep. It is just really strange that the measurements listed are so inaccurate, but considering this case seems very durable and well made I'm planning to keep it even though it seems it wasn't brand new. One other thing worth mentioning is the stitching for the logo is silver, not black, which is too bad since I liked that the black on black was less noticeable and now the logo stands out much more, but I'll live with that in order to avoid the hassle of an exchange process to try and get the one shown in the photo.

I just received it in the mail today so I have no idea about the longevity, but it does seem well made. The side pouch will fit three P mags and there are three velcro straps to secure your rife. Outside of the soft case is a well made canvas type material. It is definitely better than the case that my springfield hellion came with from the factory that fell apart after four trips to the range.

I ordered this case for my Rossi Ranch Hand. It was to long. The case is well padded and it was exactly what I ordered, I just ordered a case that was to long. I wish I had another weapon for the case. I just can’t justify spending that kind of money for a Savage Left Handed Lever Action Rifle. These guys at Optic Planet are great, cases are awesome and very reasonable rates/cost.

This is my first rifle bag I purchase also (new rifle owner) and I thing the bag over all is perfect. The only thing I have a complaint about is the straps inside, they are toooo long since they are pretty much to wrap around the rifle. Which are Not anything like the ones on the image shown when you search for them on they website.. other than that I love it enough padding and definitely doesn't feel cheap.
