Most Helpful Positive Review The SCABBARD for the 14" MOSSBERG Shockwave / Gatekeeper
I wasn't positive this would work or be the right depth for a MOSSBERG Shockwave with a 14" Barrel . But it is PERFECT for it ! Can also hold extra shells where the Molle straps are 16 to be exact . And 5 more on the edge , where the shells are suppose to go. This is a very stout supportive Scabbard...

Most Helpful Negative Review TOOOOO small
Exposed trigger and safety... not deep enough No retention... needs a small strap/flap/something... to keep the gun IN the holster during movement. A scabbard like this is NOT for a western cowboy action quickdraw. pulling from this ergonomically.. your finger will search for the trigger for grip...

Shockwave Scabbard

by Randy, Verified Owner from SD, United States Written on September 10, 2021
I initially left a bad review for this product due to the scabbard being top heavy with the sling. A top extension flap to move the top sling ring higher up would probably fix the top heavy issue. I have since used the molle mounting feature and attached to the back of my Jeep seat which had the factory molle back. Works well this way. The scabbard could be longer to cover the trigger group but will be keeping the scabbard.
Pros:
  • good quality
  • Molle mounting.
Cons:
  • Top heavy when using the sling.
  • Does not cover the trigger group.
Best Used for:
  • Molle mounted applications.

Worthless for a Shockwave

by Randy, from SD, United States Written on September 9, 2021
Good construction but too short for a shockwave. Dosent cover the trigger group and worst of all, it is top heavy so the strap is worthless to sling on your back or shoulder. I would like to return it.
Pros:
  • good construction
  • Good construction.
  • Seems good quality.
Cons:
  • Too short for a shockwave.
Best Used for:
  • Taking up space in your safe.

Too short for a mossberg shockwave

by Alan, from NY, United States Written on April 9, 2021
I thought this would fit a mossberg shockwave but it is only 18” and leaves the trigger guard fully exposed. What I got only has 4 shell holders not 5 like what is pictured. It is good quality if you don’t mind the weapon sticking out unprotected
Pros:
  • well built
Cons:
  • Too short
Best Used for:
  • Not sure

Nice Scabbard but too small for shockwave

by Subgun Bill, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on March 26, 2020
This is of nice quality but it is too small for a shockwave 590 firearm. The trigger is not covered which it should be by design when a gun is in a scabbard. I do not know what type of gun it was made for.

Well made and versatile

by Jdindadell, Verified Owner from LA, United States Written on June 29, 2018
Picked this up to use with my recently purchased Tac-14. As other reviewers have noted, it is too short to cover the trigger guard on the tac-14. Not an issue as I used the saftey. Well made, molle straps on both sides, d rings for the included shoulder strap on one side. 4 loops to hold shells on the spine. Those loops have the bottom sewed up so the shells stay put. It is very sturdy, and lined with a material that will not mar the surface finish.

Nice case, nice price.

Grabbed the Voodoo Tactical breachers shotgun case. It's perfect for the Mossberg 590 Shockwave or Remington 870 Tac-14. Excellent price, great service and delivery. Item useless for the Shockwave

by Paul, from FL, United States Written on April 7, 2018
Nice but no good for the Shockwave, about 4in. too short. It is well made and the long molle attachments are convient. More shell holders would be nice. Curious to know exactly what it is made for. It has nice thick padding however.
Pros:
  • well made
Cons:
  • Too short for the Shovkwave

Great Shockwave Scabbard

by Blaster Rick, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on April 7, 2018
Mossberg Shockwave might be a little long for this scabbard, but the shorter length allows you to mount a flash light or laser to the top rail. I mounted mine with a NcSTAR laser sight / flashlight combo (also bought at OpticsPlanet - NC-LS-AQPFLSG). I highly recommend both products. I don't hit the trail with this, so no comment on how well it holds when things get bumpy.
Pros:
  • Great Value and Quality
Cons:
  • Little short for shockwave.
Best Used for:
  • Ready shotgun scabbard

Nice scabbard for your shockwave

by Link123, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on March 28, 2018
I was skeptical on whether this product would work after I tricked out my mossberg 590 shockwave. To my surprise and great delight it worked out great. I put a rail with laser, and a side saddle shell holder. My shockwave still fit nice and tight into this scabbard, so for me this is a keeper. You can have a fully tricked out shockwave, shove it in the scabbard and have confidence it will stay there after you through it over your shoulder with the included sling
Pros:
  • Just works
Cons:
  • None

Good Scabbrad

by Ron, from NV, United States Written on November 22, 2017
This is a good scabbard, quality materials and made well. I put my Mossberg Shockwave in it and it fits great, if it were 3 or 4 inches longer then it would be perfect (as the trigger is not covered when sheathed and I would prefer that).
