Great for a Henry golden big boy 2nd gen side gate
Have the vortex crossfire 2 2+7+32 scout scope. Mounted to a 357 mag Henry rifle. The three inch off set is perfect allows for for plenty of adjustment with the vortex Henry bb-rsmp picatinny rail. Thank you optics planet for always coming through

Not solid enough for an ar 10 in 308
Got loose on my first trip to the range with it. Wish I wouldn't of wasted my money on it. Other reviews had said it worked fine on a 308 and it did not. DO NOT BUY for a 308 rifle. Never used it on a 223 so I cannot speak on that but it does not work for a 308. It does not sit above the front sight...

Great value for the money
I tend to keep my scope a little closer than some and this mount has the offset is perfect for my 44mm scope. Seems well made and locks down tightly. No Teflon on the screws so a little purple lock tite is needed.

Vortex scope and cantilever mount
I recently purchased The Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x50 scope and Cantilever ring mount. It came as a set so that I didn't have to be concerned about matching tube size to the mount or height from the rifle barrel. The scope is adjustable for all the usual settings plus parallax, without the use of any tools. Sighting-in is easy with the horizontal and vertical turret adjustments. I'm using this scope for competition target, so it's got to be right on. The ring mount is a 2" offset base that makes it possible to get the correct eye relief. If you have long arms just mount the scope in the normal mode, for short arms, turn it around and the scope will be closer to your eye. It really is the solution to a common problem. The Vortex products appear to be made very well and are fairly priced. I was very pleased with the shooting results from my first day out on the range.

Vortex Cantilever Scope Mount
Can’t go wrong with vortex mounts or scopes. Second one bought this year. Mounted scopes (both Vortex) for my hunting buddy’s grand kids. Easy to mount, makes you feel like a gunsmith.

Vortex Cantilever Ring Mount 1" Tube w/2" Offset
I really like the design, materials quality, looks, & the weight of the cantilever. The weight of the cantilever tells me that it is will be durable for the rigors of hunting, as well as the shooting bench in keeping the scope zeroed on my lever gun.
