This LPVO is perhaps the best value in optics I have found. Its clarity is excellent and eye relief is extremely forgiving even at full magnification. Target acquisition at 1x is as fast as a high end red dot with the ability zoom in without messing with flipping a magnifier. Simple reticle with illumination dot is one of my favorite things too. I have only just setup and sighted it in on a 12 gauge slug rifled slug shotgun so time will tell how it holds up to recoil but I'm confident it will paired with the vortex low profile sport rings. Considering it comes with vortex warranty I'm not sure what else it can even be compared to for the price.

Crossfire HD vs Crossfire II

Bought this to replace my 1-4 Crossfire II. I love having the illumination dial grouped with the windage and elevation. Even better the HD has power off settings in between brightness settings like the vortex venom. Love that it also comes with flip caps. I didn't notice a big difference in glass. I only gave 4 stars because the eye relief is less forgiving on the HD than the crossfire II.

Vortex Crossfire

Great scope for my application. I use this scope on high impact rifles and pistols. As a gun smith people ask the hard questions and this turned out to be easy. I put this on a 375 win. single shot hunting pistol for a customer and he went out the next day and got his deer at 175 yards. great work.
