KG Doesn't Know How Red Dots Work
The reviewer KG doesn't seem to understand how red dots work. Red dots have an LED emitter inside the sight housing that shines a beam of light backward onto the glass. The angled front lens acts like a curved mirror to bounce that red dot straight into your eye...A curved front lens on red dots is normal. This is a fantastic dotam and fantastic for the price. Don't let someone's lack of understanding of how red dots work keep you from buying this as the curved front lens is not a defect.
A great RDO option
this is my second Crossfire and it works with all of the Aimpoint micro footprint mounts out there. They have not been babied and are still going strong. Even if they do the Vortex warranty is second to none.

Great red dot
As discribed. Great product. Durable, well made, solid and good looking. I have multiple vortex optics and their great products. I haven't had a problem or failure with any of them. And the warranty is awesome. I've compared them to leupold optics and and there no better. In some cases the vortex has more clarity in the glass. I just don't think leupold is worth the money. I like vortex better.
Pros:
- Clarity, light gathering and warranty
Cons:
- At this time I can't find any
Best Used for:
- All round use
- Hunting, target shooting, just all round great

Vortex Crossfire Gen 2 - Best Value
One again, Vortex does not fail at all price points. This is my 6th Vortex product and with a lifetime warranty to backup all my different optics it does make it worth it to invest in these optics.
Going to the review, right out of the box the optic comes mounted with a hollow mount which allows for backup iron sights to be used without needing to take down the optic itself. In the past I had to buy a reptilia or scarlet works mount for this exact reason but Vortex really made it easy for me to just mount the optic and sight it in. I have mounted this on my CZ Scorpion and so far it has been user friendly in comparison to the previous generation. My favorite part is that the field of view is much wider and it now comes with the automatic shut off feature which make it easy to just have it on standby when needed. Overall, I highly recommend the Vortex Crossfire Gen 2 for someone looking for an optic that has the same qualities as some of the optics that are 2-3x the cost.

Canted lens
Optics planet shipped me the optic late and when I finally got it the front lens was canted and not flush as it should be. It almost seemed like this was a returned item with a loose lens that they tried to fix but failed. I’m not sure if optics planet is to blame or vortex optics but either way I’m returning it, and quality control needs to up their game.
