With the one I received, you cannot see anything from 1- 6. You faintly start to see a vertical, squiggly-line at around 7. The dial goes from 1-11. And you cannot go backwards. I am a very surprised Vortex would have this type of issue with their product. I hope it's just a bad batch.
On a side note, you will scratch the battery panel trying to get it off. I am returning mine.
