Expert Review Tough as nails ccw optic - Vortex Defender-CCW 1x25mm Reflex Red Dot Sight

This is by far the most rugged micro red dot Vortex has come out with. I am impressed with the build quality and picture window. I have the 6 moa version and the dot is crisp, clear and easy to pick up in any lighting. Only reason for the 4 stars is that it does not work well with holsters that have material pressing up against the side of the optic. When that happens, the consistent pressure against the "brightness up" button will disengage the "brightness lock" and your red dot will end up being on full brightness whenever you pull it out of the holster. I switched to a holster that doesn't press against the buttons and the problem is fixed. Since then I've carried this on my Sig P365XL for weeks and it's my new favorite optic. Nice work Vortex!
