Jim's Review of Vortex Defender-CCW 1x25mm Reflex Red Dot Sight
Very affordable and effective red dot sight. Extremely easy to install and sight in. Installed on Glock 43x MOS . Factory iron sights are fully functional (visible) in the lower 1/3 of the sight window. Additionally, no adapter plate was needed and the sight fit perfectly in the MOS cut. I sighted the pistol in at 15 yards and was zeroed in perfectly in 20 shots. Note: when adjusting for height and windage during MOA shooting I didn’t feel or hear clicks as denoted in the instruction booklet. I followed the instructions for MOA movement and gradually adjusted the dot after every 5 shots.
Pros:
- Fits well on slim line Glocks and the dot is easy aquired.
Cons:
- The brightest illumination of the dot seems like a starburst to my eyes. IMO, I believe that brightness is overkill and really would not be used by anyone. I just dialed it back a little and it was perfect

- EDC and range practice
