Overall nice optic, but I ordered by mistake. I needed an RMR footprint. This is Delta point pro footprint But will certainly revisit this product in the near future

Appears accurate. Works as described, mounts easily. Plenty of screws plus free glock plate.
Could use a better tool to remove cap for battery exchange. Used my own made from a paint can opener!!

Great Optic

by CT, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on August 18, 2026

Have the both the Defender CCW and now the ST. Both are solid optics that are straight forward and quality units. The ST came in to replace the RFX11 that came on my Echelon, mounted up with no issues using the DPP VIS pins from SA and the Hellcat/XDM screws that came with the optic.

The Vortex Defender ST is the perfect handgun optic for me. The window size is perfect size and is crystal clear. I prefer the 3 MOA dot which this has and it’s bright and crisp, easy to pick up. I have Vortex optics on all my hand guns.
