I would give this scope 5 stars for everything but on closer inspection I found a couple of minor faults:
There should be 4 screws that holds something internally but one is missing. It looks like there is some glue or something in its place.
Also when zoomed right out there is a slight cresc...

The scope is clear and bright, but the ocular lens (rear eyepiece) is way too big for a little rimfire scope. It makes it tough to mount as low as I prefer.
The finish looks nice, but it scratches way too easy. I mounted this scope and a Leupold Freedom rimfire scope on different rifles on the same...

Bought this to put on an accurized 10/22, and it was exactly what I expected from a vortex dimondback series scope. The lens is clear and the retical is a traditional duplex, which is fine for my application. Vortex never diasapoints.

Super simple to mount and zero. The turrets function ok. Eye box is generous. I was able to set this up with medium Vortex rings on a Bergara BXR Steel in short order. Three different shooters were happy with the eye box and performance of this scope.
Pros:
Price
quality material
Simple
Easy zero
Cons:
Only one Reticle option
non illuminated reticle
Best Used for:
Short range
squirrels
.22lr

I have this mounted on a marlin 30-30. Only difference between this one and the non rimfire is the parallax. Decided to take some shots at 300 yards today and adjusted for 10 moa. When returning back to zero, it was about an inch low. Scope is good for set and forget. But if you want to play around at different ranges and return to zero, it was off. A good scope to me should return to zero.
