VORTEX DIAMONDBACK 8 x 32 BINOS
I am a bino nut , have numerous pairs from Swarovski and Vortex. Love all of them !
Needed a small , lightweight knock-around bino for a teenage nephew who is spending a week in Iceland shortly , including some trekking and camping.
Hesitated to buy '' inexpensively '' , but could not justify $500 plus pair for him to throw in a backpack and use just occasionally . Optics Planet had these Vortex 8 x 32's on sale , so I bought them....and , for the money , they are GREAT....perfect for their intended use. They would be equally well suited to throw into the glovebox of your car , take on camp...

Pleasantly suprised
I was looking for a lite pair of binos for hiking. My hunting swaro's are to big and heavy for the water pocket on my backpack.
Several hunting guides over the past several years have had Vortex glass and all praised them. I bought these without
trying them out at a retail store. The Memorial Day sale put these sub $200 so I took a chance. I was pleasantly supprised at
just how good these bino's are. Clear glass all the way to the edges. Good focus. Came with lens caps and a nice container.
Under a pound in weight, yet nicely sized. Very happy with this purchase.

New diamondback 8x32
Had to take advantage of Optics Planet version of information/product. other retailers are serving the old Diamondback at a discount, with little to No info on the new ones. There is quite an upgrade on the new version, completely redesigned, including additional coatings. Thanks OP for giving me great advise, and access to an affordable product
