Excellent scope for the money - Vortex Diamondback HP 2-8x32mm Riflescope

I was able to purchase the Vortex Diamondback HP 2-8 BDC from Optics Planet at an excellent price with free shipping. The package arrived promptly at my door in a large box with packaging bubbles that protected the actual box. The overall quality of the scope is excellent and I was glad that it came with a scope bikini cover. I was able to easily mount the scope on my 16" barrel AR with an Aero Precision mount and I was surprised by the balance of my rifle with the scope. I also found the scope to be aesthetically pleasing on my AR even though it is about an inch longer than my old 1-4 x 24mm scope.

The optical clarity of the scope is excellent while being compact in dimensions and light weight. The turrets adjustments are 1/4 moa with positive "clicks" and the adjustments were accurate when I sighted-in the scope. However I was unable to unscrew the turret locking screws in order to return the turret to zero after I sighted-in the scope. The crosshair is at the perfect thickness for my eyes at all zoom ranges. The scope was able to gather much light despite of the 32mm the objective with 1" tube and I was able to clearly see my 2" dia. target at 200 yards at the 8x zoom. The eye relief is quite long at 2x but just right for my eyes at 8x. The side parallax adjustments ranges from 20 yards to infinity and it worked very well when I was transitioning between the targets at different distances. I am very satisfied with this scope and I would recommend anyone who wants to purchase a quality scope at a fair price.
