OleDude's Review of Vortex Diamondback Tactical FFP 4-16x44mm 30mm Tube First Focal Plane Rifle Scope

Got a Ruger Precision Rimfire rifle 22LR with a 30moa base would cause a scope to shoot around 6 inches high on installation depending on scope mount rings it could vary more at 50yard range. I installed my new Vortex 4-16x44 Diamondback Tactical FFP Riflescope, 30mm Tube, EBR-2C-Mrad and Vortex Tactical 30mm Riflescope Ring, Extra High Profile. Without touching any dials on scope, knowing factory puts them centered, physically mounted scope and test fired on a 50 yard range. First 3 shots using TAC22 ammo were one half left and 6 inches high, as expected 30moa mount and one & half high rings will impact 6 plus or minus 2 inches high. Scope took 7.5 MRAD click down and 0.8 windage resulting in a 0.511 grouping of 5 shots at 50 yards using Eley Target yellow box (front rest only and over 70 year old eyes and trigger set at 2.25 lbs.) Very satisfied with this scope, as the 30moa base on rifle and scope adjustment range should allow for dialing in about 300 yard range, my extreme limits with the 22 LR.
