Upgrade was to improve reading targets at 100 yards. Glass quality and clarity on par with my Generation 1 Viper PST. 4-16x Diamondback Tactical is definitely top notch at this price point. I do wish weight was slightly less as that was my original preference. However, I needed the higher magnification in the end and plan to use 3-9x for a different rifle as still a quality scope.
