I am a huge fan of vortex products so I thought I would give this a shot for putting on one of my plinking guns but if you are use to viper or rzr series glass you will be disappointed. Good for the money

The Vortex Diamondback is very good for what you pay. Pretty clear, repeatable turrets - it actually punches in the $600-$1000 weight class. The one thing that I don’t like is at the higher magnification around 20-24x it gets a little cloudy around the edges. But again, you need to spend $1000+ to get rid of that. All in all it’s an awesome scope for under $500. Can’t beat that

Good optics for the price and believe it or not the range finding reticles work great within 3 yards of what my electronic range finder says.

Pros:

Great price great warranty.

Cons:

Optic quality of the glass is not the highest well worth the money.

Best Used for:

Target practice and hunting both viable options.

Excellent for a discounted scope

This scope is starting its life with me on a RPR in 6.5 CM, but I might swap for a bigger scope later. For now I’m hearing plenty of *ping* at 500 yards. I don’t have the distance to stretch it further available to me right now, but I’d like to try in the future. Field of view on these Diamondbacks is not great, but I’m not using it for hunting or competition so I’m not too worried about it. Comes with a sunshade extension which I don’t really need but it looks cool. This particular scope purchase came with a Vortex Sport Cantilever with a 0 MOA. No complaints there. As always, make sure your screws are torqued correctly.

Great value in a versatile long-range scope

The 6-24 zoom range and FFP are ideal for my purposes. There may be brighter scopes, but probably for a lot more money. The image appears crisp, and the parallax and focus controls let me adjust to my mediocre eyesight. I put this on a precision .22 lr rifle.

The vortex diamondback is a solid scope. The clarity is good and turrets track perfectly. For the price I don't think you can beat it.

This is the third Vortex scope in my collection and has been the best value of them all. The glass is clear, and large enough for low light conditions. Mil dot scopes work for me.
