Keeps Getting Better
Everytime vortex updates a product, it goes from a good value to a great value.
I had their VMX magnifier and for the money, it was nice. I just wasn't a big fan of the setup especially with a simple dot reticle in my optic.
Now that I am running a couple complex reticle red dots (circle dots, ballistic circle dots, acss) I wanted to try a magnifier again.
2.6 inches of relief is tight but it is definitely better than any other magnifier i have used. I am running buis less and less as the quality of optics and my typical usage makes them unnecessary so I the placement of this magnifier doesnt bother me.
Compact design, solid mount with positive engagement for both closed and open positions.
Time will tell if I keep this setup but it is noticeably better than the last time i tried it out and it has more potential thanks to the reticle options for red dots these days.

Vortex 3X magnifier
This magnifier is great, well made and priced right. And you can’t beat the lifetime warranty from Vortex which I have used before and it was easy and quick!

Good magnifier. Had an issue with QD tension adjustment.
Arrived with the tension adjustment screw tuned so tight I couldn't mount the magnifier nor could I reverse the screw. The threaded end of the Q.D. lever protruded into the adjustment screw preventing a flat head screw driver from seating. I managed to reverse the tension screw approximately 5 clicks with a pair of snap ring pliers. Once I did this the threaded end of the Q.D. lever cleared and I could use a normal flat head screw driver to make adjustments.
- Lined up perfectly with my Vortex Sparc AR red dot.
- Left 2 rail cleats for mounting iron sights.
- Flip action very tactile and must be activated deliberately.
- No play in upright or flipped positions.
- Eye relief is tight but not unmanageable.

Sight now seen
Great for close range shooting. Now suitable to 100 yards. Keeps plinking and close range shooting versatile. Well worth the weight and size. Truly a great buy.

Small Form Factor, Very Clear
Surprising clarity and ease of use for it's solid form factor. It has a solid and easy to use flip mount. Relatively short eye relief though it was perfectly fine for me.

You truly get what you pay for.
I bought this and ended up returning it, for the simple fact that Sig had their Juliet on sale at a price I couldn’t pass up for my 22lr AR, also my red dot is the sig Romeo so I liked that it matched. The Vortex Micro has all the nice features, a lot that the sig doesn’t have, both are too close to call on weight and clarity of glass for me but other than that the Vortex clearly wins and is an awesome 3x magnifier that exceeded all my expectations. If I was trying to set up an actual “battle” rifle instead of a plinking gun I would definitely go with the vortex, no offense to sig but it’s just better.

Clear and easy
The Vortex 3x magnifier is clearer than another brand I had seen before.
It offers a simple attachment to your top rail, and easily swings out of the way when not in use.
Would definitely buy for another firearm.

I'ce purchased 4
I started by purchasing one for my fiance's Ar15. It looked and worked so well, that I purchased 3 more. One for my .300 Blackout SBR, one for my 16" AR15 5.56, and kne for my father. Every single mafnifier is oaired w a Vortex red dot or Vortex Holographic sight. Well made, and performs well. Younwont regret the purchase.

awesome magnifier
The only complaint i have is that it can't be set too far back bc the qd lever gets in the way of the charging handle. Other than that, works perfect

Works great
I was skeptical of magnifiers at first but this 3x micro has exceeded all expectations. I thought it wasn’t going to either be enough magnification or proper sight picture but I was totally wrong. You get a lot of bang for your buck on this
