Well done Vortex

The right size and price point. Deploys quickly, its lightweight and packs up tidy. My only complaint is that the handle is finiky when its time to lock/unlock on what you are viewing. It requires more twists than competors causing it to shift from target until you get that final crank. Not a deal breaker and just fine for the price point. If this were an everyday tool, you would be spending more money for a more refined head. For most of us, this is a great model. Used with Athlon Ares G2 UHD.

Stable and sturdy

This is ready to go out of the box. The adapter plate provided screwed tight to my gosky and I didn't have to overtighten the head to feel like it wasn't going to be held securely. You can adjust the legs on any terrain and get your head level.

This is a very solid tripod for its price range. Love the pan head, hopefully it will hold up. This will be perfect for spotting game with a spotting scope. Very sturdy and stout!

This tripod is lightweight and solid. I can now hike without excess weight thanks to my Mountain Pass and a lightweight scope. Vortex has been amazing with their warranty and service - so I feel confident in this purchase. Optics Planet offered a good price and did a great job with my order. The scope was extremely well protected and came on time.

Great Tripod

Does what it says it does. Easy to work, tightens up for a good precision view, and loosens well enough to make small adjustments quickly. Have a vortex spotter on this and it holds it perfectly.

A really stable tripod.

I wanted to upgrade to a more stable tripod but without sacrificing more length and weight. My current Vortex tripod is very lightweight but a little unstable to shoot off of. This new Vortex tripod is the same length and only a few ounces heavier and doesn’t take up any more room in my pack. A good price for Vortex quality.
