Love the tanodized finish!
Put this on a 11.5 upper, love black/tan schemes.
The finish on this scope really pops and is a nice cherry on top of the upper.
Otherwise, same great strike eagle optic as my black finish model.
Clean, functional reticle. Capped turrets so once you are zero'd, just cover them up and be on your way.
Pretty decent eyebox and clarity for the price.
Very happy I went with this both for aesthetics and performance.

Vortex opmod 1x6
The glass seemed clear enough. Since its a 30mm tube, it transmit a good amount of lights through the lenses. Since its the strike eagle line, it's Vortex's middle of the road line of glasses. For the price, it's very acceptable for the output these scope provide.
Vortex Strike Eagle 1x6
Received scope nicely packaged and protected. Mounting was easy with the Vortex sport cantilever mount. Hope to try it out next week. Overall I am very pleased with this scope.

I like the scope very much. I have more than one of these,for the price point I don’t think you can get a better one. Have one that is hauled around every day in a gun rack and has never lost its zero.

OPMOD Strike Eagle
You can’t beat the quality of vortex for the price. Great optic and the finish is beautiful. I really like the illumination feature on the strike eagle. I put it on my IWI Z15 and it’s a lot of fun for the longer ranges. Easy to dial in and great eye relief. It’s light weight and clarity is great. I’m very happy with my purchase!

I typically try to avoid the suggestions of the Reddit hive-mind. It’s weird, Reddit seems stuck on only a few products but it’s a big world.
This time I finally listened. I bought this guy on sale and holy cr*p am I impressed! My glass is stupid clear from 1 to 6 without any fisheye. The eye relief is further back than I was used to, so it’s taking some work training my brain to keep my head back further.
At any rate, you won’t be disappointed. I’m already looking at their 1-10 for my other rifle

Not actually FDE
For those of you whose OCD also can't accept mismatched parts, dont get this. It's almost more green than FDE. Did not have a chance to evaluate scope itself.

Feels too good to be true.
Admittedly, this is my first 1-6x24. Fired through a few other brands and I have to say, you cannot go wrong with Vortex. That being said, this OPMOD limited edition scope, not only sights extremely clear, but looks good doing it. My AR build was going to be blacked out, like the first weekend at a bar for a newly divorced husband. I just couldn't pass this one up. The illuminated reticle take some getting use to, but the different brightness levels for different natural lighting makes all the difference. 11 different settings to dial the illumination in for the optimum brightness. The only complaint I really have, which really isn't one because I understand why, is the variable zoom is pretty tight. If they could just figure out how to get the rotation to move a bit more freely while keeping a great seal for moisture, it would be an 11/10 optic. But great job Vortex/OpticsPlanet. Nailed this on
