Vortex viper hs 4-16x44 30mm dead hold bdc - Vortex Viper HS 4-16x44mm Rifle Scope, 30mm Tube, Second Focal Plane

Great scope for the money. Very clear with generous eye relief. No issues zeroing on my Browning A-Bolt .270 Win and I like the pop up dials that can set back to zero. Looks great mounted with low rings, classic design that I appreciate as I grow older. My only dissatisfaction, and the reason of only 4 stars, would be the narrow field of view versus my obviously more expensive Leupold VX-6 2x12 and VX-5 3x15 scopes. It isn't a deal breaker but almost like looking down a long pipe at 16x power. Its something you can definitely get used to over time. However, in a hunting situation it would be difficult to follow a running deer with the limited view on higher magnifications. Still, at less that 1/3rd the cost of Leupold VX-6, I can't complain. I don't tend to hunt on 16x power anyway. No real regrets on this purchase.
