Its not that its a bad tripod, I own a few so I know its just for the cost I would expect a little more.
The legs are wobbly and the pan head isn't as smooth as needed for long range viewing.
I own a few different vortex products and am impressed at their ability to be worth far more than what they cost but this tripod is not one of them. Save up another $50-$75 and get something that will last a lifetime.
