Quality QD Mount

Picked up this mount for the Venom when I upgraded the red dot on my pistol.

So the Venom got a new home on an AR when I am not using a magnified optic.

This mount is made by Samson and is their standard of quality. Photo here is from the back, slightest forward angle tilt to the mount. Pictured is the tension adjustment, opposite side has a lever to tighten/loosen the mount.

Comes with the longer screws needed to attach the venom, not sure if those screws work with other sights that share the same mounting pattern as the venom.

Lightweight mount, lower 1/3 co-witness, easy to put on/take off/adjust.

Couldn't be happier with the quality, fitment and height of this mount. When batter or optic failure is a concern, you want a mount that can be removed quickly so BUIS' can be utilized. This mount fits the bill and returns perfectly to zero upon re-attachment. Very well made product and design.

A solid QD riser!

I ordered this riser for the Viper I have on my AP5, and it works perfectly! The mount itself is durable, and after adjusting the tension on clamp, it locks solidly onto the optic rail. The best part is that it puts my red dot just above the front sight hood, which gives me a much better sight picture than if I were to go with a super low mounting system that cowitnesses. I’m also able to mount my weapon light on the rail as well, and my optic clears that also. Overall, a great mount, and one that fit my needs perfectly!

Will this work for the viper?

I got it thinking it was a bit bigger that I could use it for my AR I just received it and it's tiny so I'm looking at the mounts and seeing if there's anything I could do but not finding anything for the viper just the venom?

This gorgeous little piece of machinery is the perfect fit for my Vortex Venom 6moa red dot. Topping off the Panzer AR12, it allows me to 1/3 co-witness with my iron sights and finishes the day sight system. With Vortex products and their warranty, you can't go wrong and add OpticsPlanet to the roster, it's a win win shoot. Thanx again my human friends.

Vortex Red Dot Mount

This is my second Vortex Mount. This mount once secured properly stays on. After some research the price at Opticsplanet was the lowest. Shopping was quick and shipping super fast. I highly recommended this product for anyone that needs an excellent riser mount.

Venom Mount

It looks great and the install was super easy. I need something to insert behind the attachment bar because it moves back and forth slightly. I’m torn because I really want to give this product 5 stars but I’ve tried moving it back a notch in my rail and it still moves on it’s own back and forth. Maybe I’ll try to tighten it and if that works I’ll give this a 4 star review.

QR mount for red dot

Didn’t like the vortex red dot on my pistol. Looking for a mount for my at pistol. Told it wouldn’t work...works GREAT! Love it on the at pistol...both eyes open, blocks nothing! Quick release is solid and quick release. Works for me.

I matched this up with the Vortex Venom. It is an excellent match with the Venom for a co-witness sight on an AR platform. The mount is robust, yet light weight. The mount release is extremely easy to use.
