First hour i had it i dropped it off the counter and didn’t blink, i knew it would be okay. I own several vortex products and haven’t been let down yet. The range finder is accurate, compact, and durable 10/10 definitely recommend.

This Rangefinder, is everything a hunter, or target shooter, could ever dream of asking for. It far exceeds its advertised attributes, and capabilities. It's operation,and user controls are simple, and very easy to operate, and the tool is lightweight, and easy to carry with the nice case it comes with, that clips onto your belt. I highly recommend this product. You go out and get yourself one, and smile,as it will make you a much more effective hunter, especially at long ,long range. You won't be disappointed, at all.

As with all Vortex items this is fantastic. Very clear crisp field of view. Range is 9 yards to about a mile. About the perfect size for carrying in a coat pocket for hunting or hiking in the mountains.

I decided on this rangefinder because of the value and warranty. Compared to the SIG and Leupold which are also high quality, at the end it was the price. I didn’t need or want something to go out crazy long distances. I knew I wanted illuminated reticle and crisp optics. The vortex fit the bill.

Received in a timely manner! Been using this rangefimder for couple of weeks now here in the open delta farm country. I find that it's a bit difficult to get the rangefinder to lock onto distant targets. I'm talking distances of over a thousand yards. This rangefinder is rated at 1800 yds on reflective targets. The best I've had it to do was a bit over 1500 yds on a light colored farm shop with the sun shining on it. Even then it took several attempts before it read the distance. I've found that you must be very steady and right on intended target with it often taking several attempts to range the intended target at longer ranges. However, once I've become familiar with it's peculiarities I find it's an acceptable rangefinder for general deer hunting. I did lock onto a coyote at 345 yds on a cloudy evening. I've also locked onto deer out to 400+ yds so far, but you must be very steady or you'll pick up unwanted background readings. It is advertised being able to pick up a deer out to 900 yds. In order to do so the deer would have to be out in the wide open, such as in a field, on a bright sunny day. In other words under the most optimal conditions and you'd have to be rock steady! I've locked onto various targets such as trees, bushes and well heads out to 1100 yds hand holding the unit which is not bad at all. I bought this from optics planet in 2019,I've hunted 2 seasons with it and its been great, I use it for bow hunting, it was struggling a lil in a cut cornfield cuz farmer did a horrible job cutting corn and there was 5 foot stalks still standing here and there,when I was trying to range a buck,but I don't blame the rangefinder, I got it cuz of vortex warranty, you really can't go wrong, im actually a luepold guy,but there warranty on electronics sucks

This is the best long distance range finder I have ever used, the glass is clear and pics up objects quick and the scan mode makes it easy when you have animals on the move in wide fields. This rangefinder preforms good in low light situations and being able to adjust the power magnification makes it’s nice for close or long range targets. The hard case and belt clip are plus also. I have friends with long range Leupolds that like the clarity of this optic better than theirs.

Probably the best range finder for the money. It works great. Especially during low light hours. Vortex hasn’t let me down yet. You definitely get what you pay for with this company. You can tell a difference with each price step.

I've been nothing but ecstatic with the performance of this range finder. Previous one was a Nikon Prostaff that had laser failure after a 1 year and was essentially half as powerful as the RANGER but nearly half the price. So far my ranging testbed has been an ocean beach in the shape of crescent. First time it was misty at extended ranges, still I was getting reads over 700 on beachouses with a max of 918 yds. Not bad considering they were actually somewhat dark brown and immersed in sea mist. Nothing here was what you'd call particularly reflective at all. Still, it did it promptly. Today, without the sea mist, I was stunned to see 1300, then 1380 multiple times and on dull beachouses. I also ranged about over water out to well over 800 yards at rocking boats in the choppy sea. Almost half a mile on a bobbing target by a handheld ranger. This is excellent performance. I'll keep ranging for fun and report though it was bought for hunting. Its cool to see its more extreme ends. Some folks have not reached the 1800 yards the manufacturer claims and I've got some thoughts on that. 1380 was handheld on a drab beach use. Handhell at extended ranges truly demands a tripod. The laser spot coming back is the result of a smeared moving spot thats averaged out and it makes the effective power really take a hit.
