Vortex Razor HD 10x50 review
I purchased these binos recently to upgrade my vortex diamondbacks for hunting and shed hunting. These are ridiculously clear. They sacrifice about 50 ft in field of view at 1000 yds but have better contrast than a friends razor hd 10x42. If your like me and want to be able to pick out and differentiate 1" of a tine from a shed in the bushes these due the trick. They are not much heavier than a 42mm which for a 50mm bino is a huge plus. I can still fit them in my standard size hornhunter bino harness and carrying them all day isn't an issue. I am able to get plenty of eye relief from these and...

Very good product
I compared this side by side with the Steiner Tactical T1042 10x42mm Roof Prism. They were very close indeed, but the feel of the Vortex won me over, despite its larger size. It is important to note that these are not light, so consider the application you will use them in. Glassing for long periods is not easy. The glass is very good and the build quality is excellent.
Pros:
- Quality
- Warranty
- glass
- feel
- build & quality
Cons:
- weight
- price
- size
- Made in China
Best Used for:
- blind hunting

Vortex Razor HD 10x50 Binoculars
Decent product if on sale. I own the Leupold BX—5 and ZEISS Conquest. I thought I was upgrading, but the ZEISS are better at dark, along with the BX-5. If you can’t catch them on sale I would recommend the Leupold over the Vortex for light transmission. During daylight hours the Vortex are clear and great.

This is more a review of optics planet then vortex razor hd 10x50
Great glass. Only 3 more oz than viper 10x42 and way better. But...Language used to describe featured items is misleading in one case and completely wrong in an other. Said it came with "Uni Daptor quick release tripod adapter" it did not... said it came with a DELUXE padded carry case. Wich is not consistent language with any vortex product name. It came with the lowest quality carry case vortex makes, the glasspak. I was concerned the language was confusing so I called OP to ask if it was a glass pak or a glasspak pro. So I could know if I need to order a high quality harness. After being put on hold while the operator spoke with a gear specialist I was reassured that it came with a glasspak pro. Wich is over a $100 value and much better to hunt with. Was disappointed to see it came with a cheap case. I've had glasspaks fall apart on me while hiking. My hunt is now to close to order anything and I must shop in person for a harness that works and an adapter. Go to vortex website product description under "what's in the box" to see what actually comes with the binoculars.
Pros:
- Good binoculars
Cons:
- Not as described by OP featured items not present and not described accurately.

Buy once, cry once
After getting over the price and you get these out in the field, you realize their value. Last pair of Binoculars you will need. Worth every dollar. There isn’t anything much more frustrating then not being able to see clearly. From hunting to tourism, I take mine every time. They are kept in the glovebox of my truck right next to me.
Pros:
- Clarity, range, durability
Cons:
- price
Best Used for:
- everyday use

Johnny blue jeans
I bought this to go on a backcountry hunt. This is a good product. It is great quality material and the glass is clear. It did a great job looking from one mountain to another, so I was using it at really long distance and it was really clear. I would definitely by it again. That being said, I also have a pair of Nikon monarch binos and they are very comparable for one quarter the price. I could live with the Nikon if I had to and do just as well and see just as far with no problems.
Pros:
- Great glass and clear
Cons:
- price

Vortex Razor HD 10x50 Binocular
Upgraded from the Viper HD series to the Razor HD's. Very happy with the change. Great Glass and features. Great build quality and they feel good in the hand. Had a pair of 12X50 Razor HD's as well, but switched to the 10x's for easier viewing without a tripod or a good rest.

Razor hd 10x50
When you first pick up these binoculars the quality is very apparent. Looking through the glass you're unsure if it is as good or even better than the ultra expensive ones you checked out, but you're not the expert to know the difference. For guys like us Vortex razor hd is the choice. Premium optics at a much fairer price and a warranty so good we don't mind loaning them to a friend or child.
Pros:
- Price, quality
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- hunting

Excellent Glass
This is excellent glass and I'm extremely happy. I never consider price when doing reviews so I gave this 4 stars and would save 5 stars for Swarovski. But I am very happy with these binos and will be using extensively hunting Alaska
