Amazing clarity and magnification - Vortex Razor HD 8x42mm Roof Prism Binoculars

I recently bought the Vortex Razor HD 8x42 binoculars as an upgrade to a Nikon Monarch M7 10x42. The difference in clarity and brightness was immediately evident. I use both mainly for birding. The brightness in darker, wooded habitat is clearly superior with the Razor HD, and it’s extremely stable and easy to track birds in flight either up close or far away. And the clarity is quite good even at a fair amount of distance. I’ll still use the Nikon 10x42 for longer distance birding, like viewing distant shorebirds, but the Vortex will be my main bino moving forward. Upgrading to HD glass was well worth investment. Optics Planet had a great price on the Razor HD, with their price being significantly lower than other online retailers when I bought it.
