Badass Optic
I am a fan of the Vortex Razor line but this scope really shows what Vortex can do.
The HD glass is really nice and pretty impressive when you factor in that it is US made. The overall scope weight is lighter than any of the other razors and uses a 30mm tube, both things i greatly appreciate.
The EBR-7 reticle is a very easy to use ranging reticle and I am a fan of the floating center dot. The locking illumination control is excellent, tight enough to prevent accidental activation during transport but easy to use with gloves on.
The flat black/grey finish on the scope is really nice and looks great on my rifle.
Overall I am really loving this scope.

Apples to Apples
I currently own 8 Vortex rifle scopes. 4 Viper PSTs, 2 Diamondbacks, Razor HD and now the Razor HD AMG. I give it a 9.5 out of 10. Great glass and incredible eye relief. Yeah, it’s pricey but, with Vortex’s VIP warranty, I’m not worried about using my scopes. I can say that for other manufacturers in this price range. Light, rugged, and super functional.
unbelievable clarity, great investment
this was my first entry into vortex optics - purchased this glass for my long range competition rifle. Its a big investment, but is it ever worth it. The clarity on this is incredible, better than what i have experiences with some of the other elite brands like NF. Lifetime no fault warranty makes it a bit easier to take, and vortex customer service has always been on point for me! Since this purchase i have probably piked up another 3 lower end scopes, a rifle red dot, and a pistol red dot. All have been more than i could hope for.

Great scope! super crisp HD quality glass!
I was a bit hesitant to make this purchase since this scope is a bit pricey but I’m super glad I did. This scope is by far the best hunting scope I have ever owned. I previously purchased a vortex LHT 3-15x50 but I still had a hard time seeing the illuminated red dot even in low light situations. I don’t have that a problem with this scope. The illuminated red dot & cross hairs on this Vortex AMG 6-24x50 scope is crisp with true HD clarity. It’s not as light as my vortex LHT but it still only weighs 28.8 ounces. I must say the quality of this scope is equivalent to my Razor HD gen2 E 1-6x24. Both Razor HD scopes has multiple settings to illuminate the red dot which really helps my old aging eyes. I recommend this scope a 100%
